Digital Footprint/Digital Citizenship
A digital footprint is made of everything of you put online. People mostly talk to others, send emails, or other things that involve others. Anything you do on the internet can be tracked. Even if you just put something on facebook, if someone wants to know they can find out who you are. Everything you do on the internet can be tracked.
Digital citizenship is when you are being respectful online. Whether it is posting a picture or on a social network you need to remember to respect other users and not put anything that can hurt them online. If someone puts their work on the internet put positive things about it or don't put anything at all.
Good examples of digital citizenship are following all user agreements. Another example is if you are on someone else's computer and they left their facebook up you don't put bad stuff on it, you just log out.
Assignment: DigiTeen Introduction
After reading some introductions from other students in the project:
1. Look at the rubric so that you will know how the introduction will be graded (advanced is worth the most points, beginning is worth the least points).
2. Write 5 - 10 (or more) sentences to introduce yourself.
3. Pay particular attention to correct spelling, capitalization and punctuation - this is SCHOOL WRITING, not TEXT writing.
Hi, my name is Tori. I am 12 years old and go to Anamosa West Middle school. I have twin sisters named Taryn and Taylor who are juniors in highschool. My favorite sport is softball, I also play basketball and soccer. In band I am in percission. At home I have a dog named Sugar and i have two goats named Cubey and Oreo! I also have chickens and ducks. My favorite food is pizza and ice cream! Yummmy! I am really excited to get to know everyone! I think it will be very exciting! :):):)
